ICU Operations¶
ICU Operations covers the three live operating views in SLApulse:
- Health Monitor
- Triage Board
- ICU Ward
Use these views after Command Center shows that one or more projects are ready for live monitoring.
Operations is for day-to-day SLA work. Members and Admins can both use it. Configuration changes that affect Operations, such as source setup, SLA rules, users, and billing, belong in the Admin-only Setup area.
ICU workflow¶
The normal operating flow is:
- Open Command Center to see which projects need attention.
- Open Health Monitor to read the workspace vital signs.
- Use Triage Board to work issues by urgency.
- Use ICU Ward when critical or deteriorating SLAs need focused observation.
- Open Analysis when you need detail, timeline evidence, exports, or historical compliance.
Health Monitor¶
Health Monitor is the vital signs screen for the workspace.
It shows:
| Signal | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Health Score | Percentage of active issues that are not critical. |
| Active Issues | Current active issues grouped by triage level. |
| Triage Critical | T1 and T2 issues requiring attention. |
| Projects | Number of monitored projects represented in the health feed. |
The page refreshes automatically. The live badge shows when the last check happened.
Triage distribution¶
The triage distribution bar shows real-time urgency across all active issues.
| Level | Meaning |
|---|---|
| T1 | Critical. Immediate intervention is needed. |
| T2 | Severe. Work should be prioritized now. |
| T3 | Moderate. Monitor actively and handle before deterioration. |
| T4 | Stable. Work is currently under control. |
| T5 | Healthy. No immediate SLA pressure. |
Use the distribution to understand whether pressure is concentrated in a few critical issues or spread across many moderate issues.
Active alerts¶
Active alerts focus on T1 and T2 issues, including paused watchlist items when they are still operationally important.
Open these issues first when the team needs to stabilize the SLA queue.
Project health grid¶
Project cards show health score and heartbeat patterns per project.
Use the grid to find which project is creating the workspace-level pressure shown in the top vital signs.
Triage Board¶
Triage Board is the working queue for active and paused issues.
It groups issues into T1-T5 columns and sorts each column by SLA pressure, with the most consumed SLA budget first.
Use filters when you need to narrow the board:
| Filter | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Project | A team is responsible for one project or customer. |
| Priority | You need to focus on a specific source priority. |
Paused issues can still appear because a paused SLA may need follow-up if it has waited too long or blocks the customer path.
ICU Ward¶
ICU Ward is the focused observation room for the most fragile SLAs.
It separates work into:
| Section | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Critical | Active T1/T2 issues sorted by percent consumed. |
| Observation | Active T3/T4 issues that are not critical yet but should stay visible. |
| Paused observation | Paused T1/T2/T3 issues that may need follow-up even though SLA time is stopped. |
Use ICU Ward when:
- a project has multiple critical issues
- a team is running an incident room or support floor
- a manager wants a project-specific watchlist
- a shared display should show only the most important SLA work
Project filter and kiosk mode¶
ICU Ward supports a project filter. Choose a project when the ward should focus on one operational area.
Kiosk mode is available after selecting a project. It is designed for shared displays.
In kiosk mode:
- the view is project-scoped
- fullscreen can be toggled with
F Escexits kiosk mode- the page keeps refreshing in the background
Use kiosk mode for team rooms, service desks, and operational displays where the goal is visibility, not detailed investigation.
When to use Analysis instead¶
ICU Operations is for deciding what to work on now.
Open Issues in the Analysis area when you need the detailed chart:
- lifecycle timeline
- full event history
- SLA explanation
- source status detail
- destructive issue delete action
Open Reports in the Analysis area when you need historical compliance, export, or contract follow-up.
